*Executive Headteacher
Mr Stephen Hoult-Allen MEd (Cantab)
My name is Stephen Hoult-Allen and I have the great pleasure in being the Executive Headteacher of The Blue Tangerine Federation incorporating St Luke's School and The Collett School. I currently split my time between the two settings and other meetings offsite.
The Collett School's DfE allocated age range is 4-16years
St Luke's DfE allocated age range is 7-16years (meaning a child can start in Year 2 when they turn 7yrs)
My personal vision and that of the Governors, is for both of our schools to ensure high quality teaching through a curriculum that is relevant and purposeful to each, individual young person. Our horizon is firmly fixed on the need for our young people to become employed adults, thriving through their achievements in their school years. The Government's own statistics show that up to 95% of adults with learning disabilities are neither in employment nor training and we want to improve our children's chances and opportunities of paid employment whilst in our settings. The development of our schools incorporates further, relevant, work-related learning, sustaining and building wider communication with our communities. This is exemplified in the work of our Blue Tangerine Charity and the immense support provided by professionals giving their free time in order to help us create our vision of a cafe and farm on site.
Within The Blue Tangerine family, diversity is an integral part of our history, culture, and identity. Inclusion is the way we treat and perceive all differences. We want to create an inclusive culture where all forms of diversity are seen as real value for our schools. We do not discriminate against people regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neuro-diversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other aspect which makes them unique.
I am extremely proud of our dedicated staff, who are focused on making a difference to each young person's lives. It is this passion that ensures the adults do their very best in supporting each child to learn, grow, achieve and thrive, which I'm pleased is also recognised in our Ofsted reports.
We value your comments and thoughts about our schools and look forward to welcoming you very soon.
Best wishes,
Stephen
